A: We started using the kendamil goat infant formula after I stopped breast feeding and she did really well. I tried other brands for sensitive tummy’s but this one didn’t cause any issues. Once she turned 1 we moved onto the toddler goat formula and she did well. There was a time I couldn’t find the goat in stock and had to buy the whole milk one and she did just fine with that one as well! I really trust this brand. Love it so much. Also, my baby was born premature at 31 weeks so I was scared on how she would do going from breast milk to formula but kendamil was a great choice!

A: Hi Chula and thanks for the great question! We have a Classic, Organic and Goat range. As your little one is 19 months we would recommend a stage 3 - toddler formula. Stage 3 is considered a "weaning" baby milk meant to eventually complement solid food. It has fewer calories and fat than Stages 1, but has more iron. And like Stages 1, Kendamil Stage 3 is free of palm oil, fish oil, soy oil, maltodextrin and starch. Some parents choose to switch to Stage 3 baby milk when their baby is around 12 months old because it has more protein, and higher levels of some vitamins, and minerals to meet a growing baby’s needs. Please speak to your medical practitioner for personalised advice.

Our Goat Toddler Drink is made with whole goat milk and is not suitable for children with a diagnosed cow's milk protein allergy (CMPA), as the proteins in goat's milk are very similar to those in cow's milk and may cause the same allergic reaction. We recommend speaking with your child's pediatrician to help choose the most appropriate option for your little one.

Kendamil is a UK company and our instructions state that you should prepare each bottle with freshly boiled water, following the direction on the can, right before feeding. This is in line with the advice given by the UK NHS (National Health Service) - regardless of the manufacturer or origin. Freshly boiling the water to 212 F (100 degrees) ensures to kill any bacteria present in the water and baby bottle. We always advise to cool the water to 158 F (70 degrees), this temperature is hot enough to kill any potential bacteria entering the can. The sterile field is broken as soon as the foil cover is opened and may allow harmful bacteria from the air to enter the can. 158F is an ideal temperature as it is not too hot to denature the nutrients/minerals in the formula. Please note that bottled water is not sterile and should still be boiled and cooled before use. Hope this helps!

Kendamil Goat is made with A2 milk, a variant that is gentler on digestion and more easily absorbed by infants compared to the more common A1 milk.
