Prequel Multi-Quench Hydration Face Mist - 4 fl oz

It felt fine on the skin but the smell was so off putting I would never be able to use it again.

I had the highest hopes for this product as I was looking for something to hydrate my face intermittently throughout the day, especially while traveling as my skin gets very dry on flights. If you are hoping to spray and go, this is not for you. It soaks your entire face even with one spritz. On top of that, I experienced burning and redness after usage. I thought maybe it was a fluke so I used it five or six more times and experienced the exact same reaction. I was hoping for something with the spray strength of the hypochlorous acid but with the hydration effects of the multi quench plumping serum. For some reason, the serum does not bother my face, but this mist really reacts badly with my skin.I love every other prequel product I have ever purchased, but I won’t buy this product again. I will, however, continue to purchase the other 8 to 10 products that I use from prequel.

Why is this not hydrating? Like at all!?!! I had to give this away. This and the lip balms that made my lips bleed are the products that need revision in my opinion. All other products are truly stellar!

The mist is wonderful and very refreshing. I took one star off because the mist is NOT A MIST, it's more like a hose turned on my face. Way too much product comes out which is my only concern about repurchasing.

As an older adult woman living in a desert environment, keeping the skin healthy and hydrated depends on protection against trans-epidermal water loss. I use this product as the final layer of protection, which includes Multi-Quench Serum, Sunscreen, and Multi-Quench Gel Cream during the day. I use the Barrier Protection Cream at night.

There is something in this mist that totally irritated my skin to the point it was burning. It took several days of using other ointment to clear my skin the burning and itching was awful. I love the other products like the Half and Half and the Am/Pm moisturizer but there is something in this face mist that I can’t use.

I love all the other Prequel products I’ve tried, and repurchase them regularly, so it pains me to leave a negative review for this mist. The mist pattern is light and even, but it slightly burns and I had increasing sensitivity and dry patches the longer I used it. I finally stopped and everything returned to normal within a week or so. This is a no-go for me, unfortunately.

As someone who loves so many products from Prequel, this one is such a disappointment. It literally BURNS so bad. First time I used it, I thought maybe it was reacting with another ingredient from another product, so I chalked up the instant burning and redness to my own error. Didn’t go back to it for a while, although I use the oil, gleanser, and half and half every single day. Today, literally just wash my face, again, using their oil and white cap gleanser, and I wanted to give a little extra drink to my skin as it’s summer time, and immediately sprayed this after washing my face… immediate burn and redness under my eyes, and around my nose… had to wash off so fast, and even then, the burn did not stop. Now I’m having to sit and correct that with hydrating products and masks, and have layeredddd my LRP cicaplast balm to help soothe my skin. Look online and a quick google or TikTok search will show you so many others experienced the same thing. Def not a reaction to another product bc I literally only washed my face, and this happens. Formula needs to be reviewed asap.

I’ve never had issues with sensitive skin until I hit menopause. This is the one product that consistently causes redness, irritation and an ugly pimple-like rash. Seems like this is not the case for those without sensitive skin. I’m not sure which ingredient is causing it but beware.

I recently purchased the Multi Quench Mist to help keep my skin hydrated on the go. I apply a solid moisturizer, hylauronic acid, 5 drops of face oil, and sunscreen every morning. As I get older, I find that my face feels tight, ie not well hydrated despite drinking water throughout the day. For this reason, I was excited to try Prequel’s mist version of Multi Quench serum. I noticed the smell as soon as I sprayed my face. I do not like it and despite trying the mist several times, I cannot get past the scent. It does not have a pleasant or even tolerable smell, certainly not like mists I’ve tried at higher price points. The mist itself is pleasant and light but I get so caught up in trying not to smell it that I’ve ended up avoiding use of the product at all. A shame because I love many of Prequel’s other products and find them effective.

I adore and use several prequel products. This mist did the opposite of its claims, causing stinging/burning and turned my face red. Super disappointed and not sure what ingredient in the mist would cause this reaction. Unfortunately a waste of money as my target no longer accepts returns on opened beauty items.

I used almost the whole bottle and never had the itching or burning other reviews mention. There is a bit of separation in the bottle, maybe the oil listed? I would shake it at first, but then just forgot. At the veryyyy end of the bottle I sprayed it on my face and could not believe how fast my face reacted. It was SO ITCHY and burning and red I had to wash my face and put hydrocortisone on. I have no idea what ingredient could be causing this, but I hope they rework something because when whatever was sitting at the bottom is doing something to people!

This makes my face sting and itch and turns it bright red.

I like the product but the bottle design is awful! It is not a fine mist at all. It sprays so unevenly and heavily. I end up getting my clothes wet trying to get my face evenly sprayed. I had to put it in a new bottle.

Love having a mist for my face when I take a shower mid-day and don't want to do my entire am or pm face routine. However, I wish this came with the same dispenser as the Universal Skin Solution spray which is a very fine, easy to spray mist that dries quickly. This product comes out in a very heavy mist that runs down my face and takes forever to dry because it is so heavy. Also, half way through the bottle the dispenser started sticking. Please change the dispenser...I may have to dump the rest of the product into an empty skin solution spray bottle to make it usable.

Sprays nicely, perfect shot of moisture before finishing with sunscreen. Later in the day, it's a nice refresher when my menopausal skin feels parched. No breakouts!

I like this mist and the serum as well. I prefer PGA over HA. I find it more moisturizing and to be honest. I feel HA is a little over hyped. The misting spray though!!! It is literally the best i have ever used, It is a fine, very even light, perfect mist with every pump, absolutely the best! All of the mist products in the line are just as beautiful!

Nice mist but makes my skin sticky, it smells good

I have had this product for several months, and I do really love the formula. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and refreshed. I CANNOT STAND the quality of the atomizer! My face is drenched in product and I feel like a bucket of water has been thrown on my face each time I use it. I love the other aspects of the packaging, and the actual formula itself, but I do not see myself repurchasing due to the quality of the atomizer and mist.
