Electric Spinner Mechanical Cat Toy - Boots & Barkley™

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cat toy is motorized and spins the feather part around in a circle and sometimes reverses. It does not come with batteries and requires x2 AA batteries. My cats were interested for a moment in what it’s doing, but it does not capture their attention for very long. However, combined with catnip, they do play it with more. I don’t find the quality to be that great as they pulled off a feather within one of the first uses. My 4 year old found this cat toy more interesting than the cats and has found many ways to play with it already. She thinks the motorized function is really fun and will put it on random spots, like on top of the toilet!

The feather and the sound make it engaging for the cat, and I like that it can be used on carpet or on linoleum floor. This required less set up than I thought right out of the box, so I was plentally surprised. My cat loved bopping it around.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the boots & Barkley electric spinner mechanical cat toy. The toy takes two AA batteries and was very easy to put the batteries in. It just needed to be twisted. No tiny screwdrivers needed. Only one of my cats seemed interested in it and he didn’t play with it for very long. Not sure if the motions it was making wasn’t interesting enough or if it was the toy attached that wasn’t as interesting for him.

Would give zero stars if I could. Feathers fell off within five minutes. the whole thing is extremely small. Like however small you are thinking… think a lot smaller. Lastly, if you have a very playful cat, I do not recommend. My cat easily knocked it over while playing, so it stopped spinning until I picked it up again. Defeats the purpose of keeping them busy while I’m at work.

My 3 month old kitten loves this toy! But the down side is the loop is easily chewed through. The feather came off within 2 weeks of purchase.

It uses batteries to spin around and will continue to move while it is being batted or manipulated. The bell has a very high pitched ring which I imagine is more enticing to cats than a typical bell. I can get my cat to play with the toy if I hold it for her but she will not approach it when it is spinning independently. I have also had trouble with the wand falling off since the toy twists around and eventually unscrews the top off. There is a compartment in the bottom of the toy for catnip. My cat is unusually skittish so I think a lot of more playful cats would enjoy this toy more. With a couple of tweaks I think it would hold up better long term.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I took this out of the box and added the two double a batteries that it required.the top screws on. once I turned it on only the bottom part was spinning like the whole thing was spinning not just the feather at the top. My two cats were not impressed with this and did not seem interested at all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cats were very intrigued by this. When I saw the size, I didn't think they would play with it. Both ended up picking it up and dragging it to their toy "stashing" areas of the house. My cats do love feathers though. On carpet it just spins in a circle, which still interested them. On hard floors it moves more. It requires 2 AA batteries. My cats jump on the couch with it in their mouths and sometimes they drop it. The impact causes the base to detach every time.

The rocker bottom will spin not only in one direction, but wobbles to Mae it more interesting for cats of all sizes and age. My cat is almost 14 and still loves this feather toy. The low profile base still stays upright no matter how hard they play.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This electric spinner is a solid edition to the cats toy bin. The motor is very quiet and the spinning motion is smooth. It works well on hardwood and thin rugs. It will go through batteries if you leave it on constantly so I recommend using rechargeables. Overall, it feels well-made and hasn’t broken yet. Great bang for your buck.
