Faulty Product Construction
First use the knob came off the slider bar and no wonder the bar is impeded by the design flaw that won't slide to number 2 or 1 setting. The unit was poorly constructed. Hopefully this is an anomaly. Returning item. It did prodece nice crisry waffles on setting 5.

Waffles get brown, however, they do not get crunchy. They burn and still aren’t crunchy. I am using the same waffle mix I used with other waffle maker that quit on me. i’ve only made lost a couple of times with this one, hope it gets better.

Waffle diaster
Your waffles come out flimsy on a setting from 2.5-3. I tried to make them crispy by leaving the waffle in longer and out came a burnt waffle. My little inexpensive "Dash" proved to be a better waffle maker.

Average Waffle Maker
It works fine. It’s shallower than my last waffle maker and therefore can’t hold as much batter. I had an overflow issue. The waffles are thin and can burn easily so you have to pay attention to cooking time.
