Britax Phases Travel System with Arbor Infant Car Seat, StayTight Base and Pramette Mode - Teak

Clicking the car seat into the base that is installed in a car is very difficult. It doesn’t click in naturally like every other infant car seat I’ve had (about 5). With this car seat, we have to set the car seat in the base then push with force on the right side and the left side to each click separately. We even have trouble clicking the car seat into the stroller; it takes 5 attempts to line it up and have it click in place. I will be contacting Britax to find a solution because I don’t feel safe with this in a car.

I originally bought this stroller and returned it. It really didn’t feel very sturdy. Material is not machine washable and isn’t FR, which was not advertised. I ended up getting the Prism and if the price point is okay I would go with that.

I believe this amazing gift for first time parents. I bought this for one of my family they like.

From the sophisticated pramette mode to the rock-solid car seat connection, every detail feels durable and high-quality. Everything connected intuitively, and I was thrilled no tools or extra hardware were required for assembly. I’m currently using the pramette mode the most. My baby seems exceptionally comfortable in it and enjoys the ride. Between the storage basket below and the parent organizer on the handle, there is plenty of room for all our essentials. During our strolls I put my iPhone, water bottle, and a few toys in the organizer and larger items like bags or a blanket I keep in the basket below. There’s a pull down sun shade canopy (UPF 50+) and also a peek-a-boo window for when the seat is facing away. The stroller’s toddler mode is easy to configure by buckling underneath, pull tight and click, then adjust the strap. There’s a snack tray and toddler bar, which are excellent features; however, the snack tray capacity is somewhat limited. The car seat is lightweight yet sturdy. It locks into the stroller with a click that feels incredibly secure. My baby loves it, he sits up high and can see everything, makes errands easy and pleasant. The car seat can face either toward me or forward, same feature as the pram mode. There’s also a sun shade canopy on the car seat that’s great, especially in the car to keep the sun off my baby during rides. The car seat base was remarkably easy to install; in fact, I double-checked it several times to ensure I’d done it correctly, as it seemed too simple. Once installed, it doesn’t budge, providing a reassuring sense of security every time I click the seat in. It also has a safety ReboundReduce, just put the carry handle on the seat in position 1 for this feature. The stroller wheels are smooth and quiet with 360-degree front wheels that make it easy to maneuver and turn. One of the biggest ‘mom wins’ is the folding mechanism. I can fold the stroller down with a simple click on the handle and a quick push. Best of all, nothing has to be removed such as the organizer, snack tray, or toddler bar-everything stays connected and folds right up with the frame. I would never compromise on safety, and with this system, I feel I’m getting the best of both worlds; top tier safety features and ultimate convenience. I’m OBSESSED with this stroller. It’s so lightweight has so much cushion for newborn baby. I would compare this to the Nuna but this is much better and for the fraction of the price is unbeatable. My husband put it together and he was really impressed on how smooth it is. It was everything we were looking for in a stroller. The color is amazing the wheels are so smooth and all the features is so well worth it

We mostly use the pramette mode for our evening walks, and he seems very comfortable in it. I also really love how stylish the system is. The design is sleek and modern, so it looks just as good as it functions. One of my favorite features is how quickly the infant car seat and pramette switch in and out. They pop in easily, which is incredibly helpful when we’re on the go. I’ve brought the entire system to sporting events for my older kids, and being able to move my son from the car to the stroller without any hassle makes busy days much easier. He’s even taken a full blown nap in the pramette at a track meet! Mind blown! The car seat is lightweight, easy to install in the car, and just as easy to remove from the stroller. My little one is getting pretty big, so we likely won’t be using the car seat portion much longer, but the interior is very soft and nicely padded and has kept him comfortable. The stroller folds flat, which makes storage simple. The wheels are very smooth. It feels like the stroller glides when we’re walking. The basket underneath is also nice and big, which is great for carrying baby essentials. The organizer has been a lifesaver on walks, and while I haven’t used the snack tray yet, I can already tell it will be really useful as he gets older. This is my 4th baby but my first travel system and I finally understand why people buy them! We have used the stroller on repeat. It's even entertained the baby in the house, pushing him in laps around the house when nothing else worked. My oldest daughter is 10 and she loves the parent organizer because she puts his teethers and pacifier in it, and she can change it out when he's bored with one. I love the organizer for having a place to put my water bottle or cell.phone, plus his toy. He seems to prefer the toddler mode in the stroller, sitting up so he can see. My favorite thing is that I can have him facing me, or switch the seat around to face forward. And the fact that I can click in the car seat when we're out places, whether a doctor's checkup or a restaurant, and then push the stroller in rather than carrying it, is amazing. That's the part I didn't know I needed. The seat is made of material that is soft and cushioned well, and because it's Britax, I trust their safety standards a lot. This is the third or fourth Britax seat I've owned with our kids and every one of them has been a winner. As my son was about three months at the time, I opted for the pramette and car seat to start. As he’s gotten older, he appreciates being a little more upright in the car seat it and it easily connects to take on and off. As a mom of 2, living in the city I loved how large the basket was to hold supplies for both kids as well as what we pick up along the way from errands. I also appreciate the parent organizer for the same reason holding my phone, coffee, keys etc. The wheels were more sturdy than I realized I was missing before in the city. The only drawback I’ve noticed with the car seat is that the sunshade doesn’t drop down very far so the sun inevitably shines in and it’s difficult fo my son to keep eyes open or to nap without a blanket over the top. If you have a little extra space to store your stroller it’s a pretty good option in the city particularly if you have elevator or wheelchair access. Buses are easier than subway for this reason of not needing to fold up up and down stairs. We have used it seamlessly going in and out of a car service as we don’t own a car. While I have primarily used this for my infant, I’ve used toddler mode some with my four year old who is on the smaller size. He appreciated the basket size which can hold his scooter and can’t leave home without the snack tray full.

After using it for walks and everyday outings, I’m really impressed with the design and versatility. Assembly was very straightforward and easy to follow. I was able to put everything together quickly by myself, and the stroller feels sturdy and well made. One of my favorite features is the built-in pramette mode. Instead of needing a separate bassinet attachment that you have to store somewhere, the stroller seat easily converts into a pramette. This is such a smart design because it saves space and eliminates the need to keep track of extra pieces. We’ve been using the pramette mode with our baby, and she seems very comfortable in it. I also love how versatile the system is with multiple ride options. The stroller offers several configurations including the car seat mode, pramette mode, and toddler seat, with both parent-facing and forward-facing options. The wheels are plastic, so on rougher or uneven pavement it can feel a little bumpier compared to some higher-end rubber wheels. However, on even sidewalks, paved paths, and inside stores it has been very smooth and easy to maneuver for us. The handlebar height worked out great for both my husband and me. I was initially a little concerned since it isn’t adjustable and my husband usually prefers a higher handle, but the height ended up being comfortable for both of us. Another feature I appreciate is the large, sturdy canopy. I’ve had strollers in the past where the canopy felt flimsy, but this one feels solid and provides great coverage for baby. The storage basket isn’t oversized, but it’s generous enough to hold the essentials like a diaper bag, blanket, or other necessities. I also love that the system includes helpful extras like a parent organizer, bumper bar, and child tray, without needing to buy them separately. Overall, this travel system looks really nice and feels thoughtfully designed. Right now we’re using the pramette mode with our baby, but I’m excited to transition to the toddler seat as she gets older. The materials used are sleek and high quality. The black option is so pretty and gender neutral. The wheels are large enough to ensure my baby girl has a comfy ride in stroller or pram mode during our nightly walks around our neighborhood. The entire system was easy to install. The car seat itself is easy to install, unlatch, and my girl seems very comfy in it! The fabric is very smooth and it looks super sleek. The stroller is very compact! The infant seat clicks right in and is definitely the way we have used it mostly since my daughter is only 12 weeks old. I love being able to just go from car to stroller without having to wake her up! We have also used the Pramette mode which I think is cute and could definitely be useful to a lot of parents on long days out. The Pramette mode can be both forward and rear facing. The parent organizer that attaches to the top push bar is a nice added bonus! I do think the snack tray could be a lot better. It's very small and I don't see a toddler keeping their snacks very contained in that little tray. Overall, this travel system is great and i'm glad we got to try this from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Let's begin with the PROs: - Lightweight and safe infant car seat! - Easy to install and EXTREMELY secure car seat base! - Car seat has a very nice sun shade! - Love the texture of the material for baby safety. - AMAZING Stroller that glides with every push! - Stroller has large wheels easy to go over curbs while still being compact - Stroller accommodates baby as they grow! (See images) - Amazingly sturdy design- my toddlers can climb in and out without worry of falling over! - Great versatility- infant insert straight into stroller, pramette mode, and toddler rear and forward facing mode. - SO EASY TO CHANGE STROLLER MODES- literally seconds! - Stroller glides on multiple terrains- sidewalks, roads, parking lots, and over dry grass. (bumpy, but totally doable with large wheels) - Appreciate the extras that are included (snacking tray, parent organizer), acceptable quality, not the best, but included with the overall price makes it worth it! - While stroller wheels make it a little more bulky to store, the extra comfort and durability makes it WAY worth it! - Comfortable harnesses for child in stroller and infant car seat - Great fabric choice and color! - Very easy, but secure to fold. - Unfolds quickly, and securely, no questioning if it is set up correctly! - Strange- but, great packaging and easy to set up! Now a few CONs: - Handle not adjustable for parent use on stroller. - I personally like a larger sun shade on my child's seat in the stroller. - Snack tray- (like all strollers in my opinion)- is a bit too high for 2 year olds. 3+ is fine. - Cannot add any additional child ride-a-long to stroller - Stroller breaks are on each separate wheel and not a single step locking system. - Infant Car Seat does not fit 3 across in a car. We have 2 toddler seats installed (1 forward facing, 1 rear facing, with slim seats), the base for this Britax Phases Infant Car Seat did fit easily, but the width of the handle on the car seat itself made it unable to latch 3 across. This is the main reason I gave it 4 stars. Again, if your family has 1 or 2 children, this is the way to go! Overall, 4 out of 5 stars was given due to the inability to sit 3 car seats across in our Toyota Highlander. This car seat travel system is AMAZING! I would recommend for any family with one or 2 children. The positives outweigh the negatives and the convenience and quality of Britax is something we LOVE in our household. We use this Phases System for daily use at the grocery store, on walks, and park adventures! When I opened the box I was shocked by everything that came with it; the car seat and base, the stroller frame, the stroller seat that transitions so easily from pramette to toddler mode, and the super handy parent organizer! My baby just turned 3 months so we’ve stuck to using the infant car seat mode the most and “pramette” mode occasionally. I love being able to easily transfer the car seat from the car to the stroller base. I am really looking forward to having the chance to use toddler mode, especially because it means we have a stroller that will grow with her as my daughter grows. For instance we haven’t used the snack tray yet because she’s not snacking yet, but I’m looking forward to how easily that can be installed and removed to be cleaned! The stroller frame is truly compact and is very easily closed one-handed; it fits well in my car. However having all the pieces: frame, infant car seat and base, stroller seat, etc. means this system took over my living room for a while as I was getting it set up and installed in my car and figuring out where to keep the pieces. That and the issues I’ve had with trying to open the stroller frame one handed are my reasons for 4 stars instead of 5. Overall it handles very well, being able to maneuver around my hilly neighborhood, and I look forward to many adventures with it.

My pre-teen and my children's grandparents can all easily lift and use this stroller, too. I love that it has so many different modes that I can quickly switch between. Pramette mode is my favorite, and I use this one the most right now. It's like a bassinet on wheels! I love that I can strap my baby in with the 5 point harness, and this stops him from sliding around or trying to roll over. I can slide one small clip to slightly elevate his head if I need to when he has been recently fed. The infant car seat mode is convenient for when he is asleep in the car seat, because it allows me to not have to disturb him and risk waking him up. My toddler loves this stroller in toddler mode. He loves to play peek-a-boo with me through the window in the canopy. He loves having his snack in reach right in front of him. I love that the snack tray has removable tray inserts for easy washing. The storage basket is large and easy to access. The spacious parent organizer is able to hold my water cup, a bottle for my baby, a pack of wipes, a few diapers, my wallet, my keys, and more, and it is more secure and stable than others on strollers I have used in the past. The middle section of the parent organizer is a perfect place to store the toddler snack tray when using the stroller in one of the baby modes, and there is still enough space to store the items I need to have with me. This stroller rolls really smooth, is easy to push, and folds up easily. It is very convenient that the car seat clicks onto the stroller base easily without any adapters needed. The car seat is easy to install with the lifting feature, and the cushions feel more comfortable than some other infant car seats I have used. The dark gray and black colors of the car seat and stroller are great for my messy kids, because they won't stain. The best thing about this travel system is that it will grow with my children through several stages and years of use! The Phases grows from infant to toddler and has so many great features. I love that you can easily transition from car seat to the stroller seat without the need for adapters. My son is 10 months old and we have been thoroughly enjoying using both the car seat and stroller seat, especially love the included snack tray! The pramette mode has also come in handy for naps when we’re out and about. The car seat is also very nice, the padding is soft, the seat is light and the install on the base is very quick and solid! I have a 2 month old and a 1 year old, so I was able to test out both the infant and toddler settings for this travel system. First of all, I love the car seat. It's lightweight, the base is easy to install and it feels very secure. I love that the bar can be put down toward the feet when locked into position, it makes getting in and out super easy and I feel like my infant is going to be very safe in a collision thanks to the extra resistance. I also love how compact it is! My husband is a big guy and it's hard to find seats that leave any room for him to back his chair up comfortably; this seat leaves way more wiggle room than our previous one. The visor comes down nice and far for nap time shade, and the seat belt has cushiony covers at the shoulders and the buckle to protect my little one's skin. Now on the topic of the stroller: I love it! The design is sleek and very aesthetically pleasing. Buttons are all easy to push; I usually have trouble with stroller controls because they need a lot of force, that isn't an issue with this set! Everything pops in and out very easily too. The snack tray for the baby is convenient for washing with all the break away pieces, and the fabric tray for mom has tons of room no matter how big your water bottle is. Speaking of spacious: the storage area under the car seat is TWICE as large as the one on my previous stroller. I could fit 2 full large backpacks no problem. Best of all, it's not a tight squeeze to get things in and out of it. The angle is JUST right. The stroller drives smoothly on flat or rough terrain. Conveniently can face my baby/toddler toward or away from me with several different layout settings. And no worries about comfort because the seat and the buckle alike are soft! As a mom of four, I give this travel system five stars! It is the best system I've used to date.

My older kids played with the packing materials while I assembled the stroller during the baby’s nap. When I pulled out the infant car seat, I was surprised by how light it was compared to ones I used for my older kids. Normally I wait until my baby is sitting up before using any stroller, but the pramette mode and car seat option saves my back (from using a carrier all day long). My routine has changed since with this stroller! We’ve mostly been using the pramette mode for our 5 month old. I prefer it over keeping the baby in the car seat, since the pram-style makes for more comfortable naps. One of my favorite things about this stroller is how easy it is to handle. It’s super lightweight and really easy to maneuver, especially turning! The basket underneath holds a lot, which is great for a diaper bag plus all the random things my older kids get tired of carrying. The parent organizer fits a couple drinks, my phone, baby toys, etc. When I fold the stroller, I usually take the seat off first and then fold the frame. It’s just as quick as folding it all together, but I like how it sits in my van that way. I’ve also put my 3 year old in the toddler seat option. Converting the seat to toddler mode only took two quick steps, and it was still smooth and easy to push even with the extra toddler weight. My box was missing two accessories when it arrived, but customer service was very easy to contact and they are already sending replacements. Overall it’s been a really versatile stroller that works well for neighborhood walks and bigger outings. We brought it on a kids resort trip and it was great for carrying different aged kids during all parts of the day/kinds of activities. From the bassinet that becomes an upright seat for the stroller to a car seat with attachments for the stroller and car, this package has it all. The convertible seat for the stroller is a feature that I haven't seen before and makes this product more versatile. I also appreciate not having an extra piece of gear that is only useful for a short period of time. The stroller folds up into a compact size when not in use, though does not stand up on it's own. The only thing I've struggled with is that the sidewalks near us are not in the best shape. The wheels of the stroller are plastic, so it makes for a bumpy ride. But when we're in stores or areas where the sidewalks are better maintained, it hasn't been an issue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had this travel system delivered to my door in a big box but surprisingly low weight so I was able to get it inside pretty easily and so excited I just opened it right away. All parts were very well protected and assembly was less than 10 minutes with clear instructions and even some baby snuggle distractions. I found this so lightweight that seems is just floating and does not make any noise at all which was the best after my previous travel system fromma makor brand had a squeek we were una le to get rid of. It was very easy to transition the from the car seat mode to the pramette mode that can also be adjusted at a little incline and it’s my baby’s favorite for taking our outside walks. The lightness on weight also made steps and sidewalk edges to navigate very easy. It was pleasantly surprised the was no adaptors or anything in olved to change from car seat to pramette and in both cases baby can face in or out. The parent organizer seemed to be all fabric and flexible but it has a metal thin frame in top that was wxcelent to hold both my hisband’s and my water bottle and also in the middle holding my keys and cellphone that is in the larger size and did not fit in my precious stroller organizer. I haven’t used the food tray yet as my baby is only 5 months and not eating solids yet but it was very easy to install and remove The features for collapsing and extending the stroller are by far the easiest I have used the handle materials feels in the high end side. The car seat itself is definitely a little lighter than other models. My (not very handy) husband assembled the set in about 10 minutes without needing to look at the instructions. My favorite aspect of this travel system is that you do not need a separate frame/caddy just for the car seat - this set provides all you need to then transition the frame to a stand-alone stroller. My 5-month old safely rides in the stand-alone stroller and loves the forward-facing toddler mode. The peek-through window is large and actually useful in checking on your baby. I love that you can also make your child parent-facing in toddler mode. It is very comfortable for me (5'3") to push, but my husband (6'4") wishes the handle was adjustable as it is a bit uncomfortable for him to push. I didn't have much faith in the parent organizer when it came out of the packaging, but it holds my water bottle and phone perfectly!
