  • A: This is a great question! The ginger and rue travel system does come with the rue anti-rebound base, which is very convenient for everyday use. However, you do not need the base to install the rue infant car seat! Rue can also be installed using the vehicle seat belt in a car or on a plane if you are traveling.

    Great travel system

    I’ve been using this travel system every day for 9 months, and I absolutely love it! The car seat is very light yet sturdy. The stroller is great as well. Yes, it does take up quite a bit of space in the trunk, so I keep it separate, but overall, it looks great and is very comfortable for my baby. I definitely recommend it!

    Joie combo car seat

    First off let me say when bought the combo we love it thinking the car seat was ok until my baby arrived and we started using the car seat it’s so sunken in it made her seems like she was going to suffocate, I reach out to the store and also the maker of the car seat trying to return it but they said because we threw away the box they can’t help. The stroller I love but the car seats is beyond uncomfortable, all I need to do was to return the car stead and buy another one that won’t come with the combo

    I regret buying this

    After several months of use, I really regret this purchase. The stroller is bulky, takes up a ton of trunk space, is difficult to unfold alone, and the harness constantly becomes uneven and already feels tight for my 7-month-old. The Rue car seat handle is also incredibly awkward to reposition while the seat is in the car because you have to press both side buttons at the same time. It’s difficult to use one-handed, feels cheap and rattly, and the cup holder is basically useless. For the price, I expected something much more parent-friendly.

    It’s just a regular stroller. I did not like how the cupholder pops off easily and how the shade anchors, are right at eye level so when my baby turns, it hit him in the eye. Very poor design in that aspect. I also really don’t like how the suspension on the wheels isn’t really there. It is still so bumpy, and cannot drive over a garden hose! It’s also a little bit too wide, to where it’s not super convenient to stroller inside stores. I also don’t think that the seat is very comfortable for my son, there’s no real padding, or indentations to help keep him in place. I have a Grayco, and an umbrella stroller, and a bob, jogging stroller, and I would say that all three of those are 1 million times better than this stroller could ever dream of being. It was a nice thought, but it totally missed the mark in my opinion. I should add that I’ve been using this stroller for almost a year, and just purchased a different one today and sold this one to get it out of my hair.

    THIS is a fantastic stroller!! we have the Vista stroller and we got this one for my sister in law. i was so happy with the quality! i love how it converts so easily from bassinet to stroller seat! Fantastic for nap times!!! easy to push and maneuver all around fantastic ! and the car seat is super soft and seems durable. although i wish they offered an option without the car seat because i would have totally purchased this again for my toddler otherwise! she is 42" tall and weighs around 32lbs and fit comfortably inside it.

    3 months in & love

    We’ve been using this for 3 months so far and so highly recommended it. We change frequently between paramette and seat with ease. Setup and breakdown is the stroller is easy and I feel our little one is secure in the seat. I do wish the bottom portion of the stroller / basket was easily detachable for cleaning.

    Good travel system

    My baby seems to be much more comfortable in this than the other stroller I had. The material is high quality and soft. Im no longer worried about my baby falling asleep in her car seat as opposed to the baby trend travel system, her head used to hit her shoulder, there was no support. But she has tons of support from the rue car seat. And anytime we use her stroller anywhere she's so comfortable that she doesn't fight sleep and never cries.
