Hinges Broke After 1 Month
This was great while it lasted - which was just over a month. The hinges are plastic posts and the both broke off after one month. We didn’t even use this every day but had others in rotation. Guess this is why it only cost $10!

I have ordered two of these and used them for my daughter for about 6 weeks. Both of them warped very quickly from the expansion of the included ice pack. The lid of one of them broke off entirely. We only ever hand washed them and made sure the ice packs froze flat. Save your money.

Poor Quality Hinge will Break Right Away
Thought these would be perfect since the ice pack goes under to keep it cold but the quality is complete garbage. The hinge breaks after the first use! The little circle part that the hinge attaches too it too thin and it breaks. Unfortunately I bought 4 of these in this and other patterns and they have all broken before their first or second use. Hopefully they will redesign the faulty piece and reissue the item because I thought it was a great idea.

Not Shock Proof
Loved this bento for my kids initially. The negative issue with this Pillowfort bento was that it cracked when it fell for the first time (slipped off the dishwasher on accident), which caused the small hinges on it to break off. It seems to be a design flaw that it is not shock proof. Our Cat & Jack bento and snack boxes in this case, are far more durable, and in this way, stood the test of time by not breaking. I will hold off until a sturdier Pillowfort bento is sold before trying again. In the meantime, will continue to purchase Cat & Jack bento and snack boxes for their durability, high quality and value.

We bought 2 of these lunch boxes and both of the lids have snapped off and broke because they don’t lay flat when opened. Both latest less than a month. I don’t usually write reviews but I felt compelled because this was such a poor design.
