Gold sphere accents are most commonly used as tabletop decor: on coffee tables, side tables, shelves, mantels, desks, and bookcases. They also work well in entryways and as decorative touches in living rooms, bedrooms, offices, and libraries.

Most decorative metal or iron gold spheres are unlit and require no batteries or power. Some ornaments are lighted and use LED bulbs with an included adapter (see the product listing for adapter input/output specs); a lighted option may be UL certified for indoor/outdoor use.
