Some cylinder downlights use replaceable candelabra (E12) bulbs sold separately, while others have non-removable integrated LED modules built into the fixture.

Choose cylinder downlights that are listed or rated as “Damp Rated.” Damp-rated fixtures are suitable for covered outdoor locations and indoor damp areas. Not all surface-mount cylinders have this rating, so check the product listing for the Damp Rated designation.

Some integrated cylinder downlights support a broad mains range (for example, 160–265V). Many fixtures are intended for hardwired mains installation, while others are surface-mounted without hardwiring or use a U.S. two-prong plug for plug-in night-light models.

Limited warranty lengths vary across listings; examples shown include 1-year, 2-year, and 5-year limited warranties.
