Everyone is upset because the book they got was cheaper then what they paid. You're paying for the excitement of a surprise, and I received a book that was already on my to-be-read list. This was exactly what I needed when I was unsure what book to pick next and couldn't decide. The surprise element and the charming packaging make it worthwhile for me.

Do not waste the money
If I could do -2 stars I would. The boom is over priced. The author is no one I have ever heard of. And I top of it, the book is cheaper to just buy outright.

Love blind dates with a book! Only downside is that with the book I got, I could've bought outright for $10 online... I feel like they could price them better based off what books they put within them, but I suppose part of it being the price it is- is to experience the thrill of not knowing what you're going to get.

Purchased this for over $15 and it turned out to be a book I have never heard that Target sells for only $11. Very scummy to include a book for a mystery book that is less than what you're charging if you just bought it outright.
