The large 4TB capacity gives me plenty of space for photos, videos, documents, and other important files without constantly worrying about running out of storage. It is highly compatible with the large demand I place on it with photography and videos, through storage and editing. I place a high demand on this drive every day and long hours editing, loading, recalling and offloading media, so durability is and longevity for a drive was a must when I went shopping for a drive. Samsung was up there as highly recommended and number one in quality so that is the path I went with and have been greatly satisfied with and can say surprised right out of the box with. With the high demand and long hours spent running using this drive, never once have I had a heat issue with it, it has remained cool and efficient and not lost performance one me. I would highly recommend this drive to anyone looking!

I keep most of my files here and I have programs running directly out of this sd drive without any issues. The computer has crashed multiple times without any issues to the drive. It does not get hot.

The durability and responsiveness have been put to the test plenty of times during 8+ hrs gaming sessions even the thermals seem to be holding up with no issues. So yea throughput also seems to be holding steady at an amazingly no lag, stuttering, or screen tears lvl output. I gotta say best purchase I've made in a LONG WHILE.

I originally grabbed this because I was tired of waiting around for files to transfer when backing up the endless photos and 4K videos I shoot on my Galaxy S25. I wanted something fast, reliable, and portable. It definitely delivers on those fronts, but it comes with one quirk. Here is my breakdown after living with it: When I plug this into the port on my PC, I can move massive video files in literal seconds. It’s actually saved me a ton of time on days when I'm rushing out the door and just need to grab my files and go. I've had older portable SSDs that got hot enough to melt after a few minutes of heavy use. The T9 stays completely cool, which makes me feel a lot better about the safety of my data. It plugs straight into my phone, making it super easy to dump files off my device to free up storage without needing to boot up a computer first. It has an Indestructible feel to it. And I am not always gentle with my gear. Samsung coated this thing in a thick, textured rubber shell and gave it an aluminum core. It’s rated for a 3-meter drop. While I haven't tossed it off a roof, it has survived a few tumbles off the kitchen counter without a single scratch or hiccup. It feels like a piece of tactical gear. The Flaw: The Rubber Shell. It feels great in my hand. It grips well. However, I have five cats running around the house, and I swear this drive attracts their hair from across the room. The second I set it down on the desk or pull it out of my pocket, it is instantly covered in fuzz, dust, and pet dander. I find myself constantly wiping it off. If you like your tech looking pristine 100% of the time, this will drive you absolutely crazy. Should you buy it? If you regularly move massive files and have a computer with the right USB port to actually handle these crazy speeds, absolutely. It’s a powerhouse, and the built-in encryption software is great for peace of mind. Just know that if you have pets or carry it in your pocket, you’re going to be pulling a very fuzzy black square out of your bag.
