About the Author

Chad Robichaux is a former Force Recon Marine and DoD contractor who served on eight deployments to Afghanistan as part of a Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) task force. After overcoming his personal battles with PTSD, Chad founded Mighty Oaks, a leading nonprofit serving the military and first-responder communities.

As a highly sought-after public speaker, Chad is regularly featured on a wide range of national media. He is considered a subject-matter expert on PTSD, veterans care, and national security, having advised presidential administrations, Congress, the VA, and the DoD.

Chad is the cofounder of two nonprofits focused on the rescue of Americans and vulnerable people groups trapped or captured in conflict zones around the world. In 2021, he led the largest civilian evacuation in American history, rescuing over 17,000 people who were trapped during the Afghanistan withdrawal, including his longtime interpreter and friend, Aziz. A native of Seattle, Washington, Jack Stewart graduated from the US Naval Academy and served twenty-three years as an FA-18C Hornet fighter pilot before retiring with the rank of commander. During his time in uniform, he flew combat missions from three different aircraft carriers over Iraq and Afghanistan and became recognized as an expert in close air support. He is a graduate of the US Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN) and former adversary instructor pilot.

Hand-selected to integrate naval strike aircraft into the Afghanistan war effort, Jack deployed on the ground as a member of an Air Force Tactical Air Control Party attached to the Army's 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne. He leveraged that experience on his final two deployments, as part of a Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) task force, conducting counterterrorism missions in East Africa, North Africa, and the Arabian Peninsula.

Jack holds a bachelor of science in English from the US Naval Academy and a master of science in global leadership from the University of San Diego. A former law enforcement officer, he is now a captain with a major US airline and has appeared on international cable news as a military and commercial aviation expert.
