Very difficult to use
Very difficult to use. The latch mechanism is too tight and difficult to use even with both hands. The gate is difficult to pull open and then slams shut dangerously if you lose your grip. Worst retractable gate I have encountered. I should have believed the other reviewers.

install was easy and looks like what i wanted, but it was not at all easy use as it looked like it would be .. pulling the end to clip into other was so hard!! it would not easily release and clip. plus the mesh just crinkled and didn’t roll back in nicely. was really sad with this product. definitely couldn’t hold my baby in one hand and move the gate with other ha ha. returned it.

Love this gate!
Easy to install! They even give you something to line it up on the wall. I did however measure three times before commuting to ensure it would line up properly as you always should.

This gate is dangerous.
This gate is dangerous. It has a button that removes the whole thing from the wall. I have older kids and a toddler. The older kids can easily just push button and detached the whole thing and because kids will be kids and one of them will eventually push it.

Dont waste your money
The screws are cheap and strip super easily. The instructions aren’t very clear and it’s very difficult to open. You can’t do it one handed. I returned and am getting something more user friendly. I’m disappointed because I really wanted to like this

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This retractable baby gate is very useful. It has a locking option so it can’t be pulled on. It’s convenient to roll up out of the way when you don’t need it and then pull it out when you do. It does a very good job spanning my long hallway.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The installation is easy, but if you don’t get it lined up across from the other support perfectly then you will have a ripple in the gate that does not look great and can make it difficult to open and close. The material is ok. My son can crawl and he crawls into it and doesn’t get hurt.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great baby gate if you don't want to have a gate that swings into a room or into the hallway. I consider myself pretty handy and understanding the instructions were a little confusing at first. So that probably took the longest process of the process. But once I figured out how the handles were supposed to face, and which situation was gonna work best for the inner part of a doorway it actually went pretty quickly. I would say this is a 2 person job to install. Because of the mounting kit that they give to you. But I was able to do it by myself. They do give extra pieces for if you are mounting against a base board. If you're doing the outer part of a doorway or the inner part of a doorway. Using the retractable feature is easy and there is a lock feature on it too so that young ones can't retract it if you dont want them to. I would highly recommend this over a pressure gate. You do have to screw into the wall or doorframe.

That being said, once it was installed, it is nice to have a lower profile than other gates and is relatively simple to use.

We need something reliable to block off a high traffic area and this gate has checked every single box. The grey color looks incredibly modern and blessed in seamlessly with our home decor.
