Not worth the hassle.

This pergola is nice and came out beautifully, but it was a headache and I wouldn't recommend especially if you're not an experienced DIYer. First off the instructions are trash; it says two hour assembly but took about 6-8 hours (I was working alone which I also dont recommend). Although the package arrived with no exterior damage, the frame had several dents and dings. Once assembled the part that anchors to your house is higher than my roofline so I had to come up with an alternative. This may work better with a two-story home. The ground stakes are the little L-shaped ones you would use for pop-up tents and would not be sufficient for such a hefty structure and wouldn't work on my concrete patio anyway. I ended up spending the equivalent of the pergola on tall planters and gravel to anchor each leg down. Finally, when it started to rain, the water is pooling around the openings but not draining through. I have to keep poking it with a broom to make the water run off. Overall I am not happy with this purchase.
