Decent blender
I've had the Easy-to-Clean blender with the glass jar or a week, using it daily for vegan smoothies. Previously, I had an Oster Precise Blend 10, which had the square glass jar and was somehwat unpleaant to use because it was so loud. I used that blender at least daily, for smoothies, for grinding flax seeds, grinding oats, etc. That blender lasted almost exactly five years before the electrical controls started malfunctioning. Yes, the old Osters used to last forever. No more. So far, I've used this new blender only for smoothies, but it works at least as well, plus it is enjoyably much quieter. The lid on this new blender also fits well, better than the lid on the previous blender. Blenders, like many things, are designed for right-handed people. The lid on the previous blender was neutral for handedness. This one is designed for right-handed people. I'm left-handed, and the design of this lid allows it to function even when I turn it 180º to orient it so that it's easier for me to use. People comment about a burning smell. With every blender I've ever had, there's an inital burning smell, that soon resolves. This blender had that initial smell, too, not a big deal. How would I improve it? Make one with a white base and white lid. I like the unobtrusive shape. Also, maybe make a handedness-neutral lid. And the material of the lid does not feel pleasant in the hand. It's stiff. The Oster I had two blenders ago had a more rubbery lid and sealed well, felt good in the hand. I kept it and used it on the previous blender, which it fit, because it was more comfortabel to use. Overall, this is new Oster is a decent blender. I'll comment again if problems arise.

GREAT, until 2 blades broke off.
This was a great little blender until about 5 months into ownership two of the 4 blades broke off in my daughters smoothie. That's all we used it for - smoothies. Frozen fruit and milk. Didn't think that could break a blade but it did.

Hazardous to use!
Grabbed this as our glass for our nice blender broke. Smelled horribly of burning plastic - assumed it was just “first use” but five minutes later it. Engulfed my entire kitchen with smoke! Absolutely returning. Will go rebuy the Oster Pro 1200 …. Worth the price!

Broken Sealing Ring
Unfortunately the sealing ring broke, and failed inside of my shake, luckily I was able to notice and find it before starting drinking or eat a piece of plastic by accident, I love the fact that is glass, but it should come with 2 or 3 extra seals or have made with an better quality. Now I need to replace the seal and pay for it, if I want to keep using my blander. And I only used it a couple of times, probably less than 10 times

The only blender you can actually clean
This is the only blender I will use because it's the only one that comes completely apart so you can clean all of it. Other blenders food gets caught under the blades and bacteria grows - it's realy unsafe. I pull this apart after use and run everything through the dishwasher. When I blend I use plenty of liquid and a mix of frozen and non frozen fruits and it blends fine. I blend in 12 second intervals stopping in between for a second or two so it doesn't overheat - I have always done this with all blenders.
