I enjoy tacos and related foods, but have an allergy that makes it very difficult to use most pre-made seasoning mixes and im not familiar enough with cooking to make my own from scratch. First, if I saw it in the store, I would've likely overlooked it because it is low sodium. My mind automatically tells me it might not be that great, so I was a bit skeptical on what this would be like. Secondly, I decided to go out of the box and use it to prepare shrimp tacos. The directions are pretty specific to ground beef and a bonus chicken recipe, but I after using shrimp, I would say the product is pretty versatile. In regard to preparation, it was straightforward. As a first time mom with limited timing, I especially appreciated the ease of prep. I cooked this meal as my lunch meal for work the next day. I tweaked the prep instructions a little given that I was using shrimp but it worked out well. Additionally, I did not use the whole packet as I was only making a small batch but it went a long way. Despite the sodium reduction, it tasted great, almost like a subtle Smokey Tex-mex seasoning. I would have never known that the sodium content was dropped after tasting my dish. I did add some black pepper and Dash for familiarity but they did not mask the flavor of the taco seasoning. In fact, the taco seasoning was still bold. Overall, this is a great product and I'll be using the rest of my sample in the near future. I would recommend to others!

I truthfully prefer something spicier, but cooking with jalapeños can add some additional kick. There is enough sodium in other ingredients that it was nice to have a lower sodium option.

We're also trying to eat a bit healthier, so the reduced sodium was ideal, and not at the sacrifice of flavor. Was grateful that one pouch was enough to season quite a bit of meat.
