Jergens Shea Fusion Confetti Cake, Scented Body Lotion with Vitamin E - 14 fl oz

My favorite lotion by far, the scent is so so freaking good and it’s actually long lasting. Would definitely recommend pairing with a vanilla perfume

This Confetti Cake fragrance is a horrible disappointment for me, let me explain (long). Jergens Shea Fusion is my favorite formula of body lotion; they’ve managed to crack the code and produce a body lotion that isn’t sticky and sinks right in with no residue, allowing me to quickly get dressed. I have sensory issues around sticky body lotion, so finding their Shea Fusion line was life-changing. Unfortunately their scents are terrible across the board; they use cheap synthetic scent molecules instead of better-quality fragrances - and I get it, you want to keep the price down but Jergens I’d happily pay a few dollars more to have better quality fragrances. A few years ago in response to the market demand for ‘Beast Mode’ fragrances, the fragrance industry created what are called the ‘woody-amber’ or ‘spiky woods’ scent molecules which replace their natural counterparts in fragrances and last a very long time; unfortunately for a subset of humans, their body chemistry amplifies these synthetic woody molecules to the point that they become bitter or even like pencil shavings or in the worst case like ammonia. When you see people in the reviews here saying it smells awful, they are part of this group and it is very REAL for them. Unfortunately I’m part of this group too. I was expecting sweet yummy cake batter, and instead got a heaping help of bitter dusty woods on my skin which was NOT what I wanted. Jergens could have just as easily created a cake batter scent that didn’t use these horrid woody-amber chemicals, but for reasons unknown they did. Probably cost savings. I was floored that they used a woody-amber chemical for CAKE BATTER?!? Is this how low we’ve decided to go, Jergens? Quick takes for all the fragrances I’ve tried: - The Warm Amber lotion smells like a plastic peach, not amber. - The Vanilla Crush smells like dusty almonds, not vanilla. - The Tropical Escape is the least offensive so far, it smells mostly like pineapple but it’s still a heavily synthetic smell. I haven’t tried the Lavender because it’s not a scent I typically wear, but at this point I’m getting desperate. I’ve finally found the body lotion of my dreams and the scents are just so, so bad 😭 My Recommendation if you really want a body lotion that smells like cake and not dusty woods for those of us whose skin amplifies spiky woods chemicals: try the Cake brand ‘Milk Made Indulgent Body Milk Cream’ in the ‘frosted cereal milk’ scent. It comes in a 7oz tube. The scent smells like creamy cake batter, and no spiky woods chemicals in the fragrance. Their lotion formula is my second favorite lotion after Jergens Shea Fusion. The stickiness is pretty minimal and it absorbs fairly quickly.

I was so excited, I have been wanting a gourmand vanilla cake lotion. None of the stores near me had it in stock so this was a blind buy. Trust and believe that it barely smells like vanilla, much less like cake. I tried it and it disappears immediately on the skin. I will be returning it.

This smells amazing! I hated the vanilla in the blue bottle they came out with but this one smells just like vanilla cake. This is a soft cake like vanilla which I personally love. This smells warm and comforting without blasting you in the face with crazy amounts of vanilla. This needs to be permanent and the one in the blue bottle needs to go and this put in its place instead. Please stop making things limited edition and just make this permanent.

Smells good and moisturizes. The price is okay, not the best or the worst. I probably wouldn’t buy it again since it’s not my favorite. It does have a vanilla cake smell. Cute packaging.

The scent is light and not overwhelmingly sweet. The scent does give confetti cake vibes but I feel the scent it too light. The feel of the lotion is lightweight and not greasy, definitely softens my flaky snake skin.

as a lotion it’s great, incredibly moisturizing without being sticky or leaving any residue. it’s affordable and leaves skin feeling hydrated until reapplication. the scent however… left much to be desired. to me, it smells like a cheap candle :\ it’s definitely a subtly sweet scent and it does last. i would just recommend trying to smell this one in store before u buy.

Basically smells exactly like Wicked Vanilla Woods from Bath and Body Works. More of a vanilla musk than birthday cake scent. Not bad, and the lotion is not greasy and went on nice, but the scent should be a little sweeter (IMO) for a cake scent.

Jergens! Please make this permanent. Smells VERY similar to yum boujee marshmallow from kayali or mochi milk by dedcool. I’m obsessed, please keep this so I can keep buying it. This is the best lotion I’ve ever smelled.

I didn’t like it. It’s very light and i don’t really get confetti cake, was hoping for it to be more sweet.

So yummy smells like the cake batter right before you put it in the oven!
