JBL Go 5 Portable Bluetooth Speaker - White

No charger included which is disappointing

Purchased the JBL GO 5 recently and really pleased with the overall quality of the product. The sound is amazing for such a small speaker and does a great job filling a small to medium size room. It also seems well built and durable. I have had loads of JBL products in the past and have never been disappointed. Honestly so worth it because it’s so portable, great for outdoors, indoors all year round. Other good things about this product is the battery life and the ability to connect so quickly with your phone and with other JBL go 5s!

Bought just over a week ago. Came very quickly. I was impressed with the compact packaging. You could use it straight out of the box. Turned it on and it was connected to my phone in under 5 seconds. Downloaded the app and there was an update. No USB-C cable in the box, luckily we have an abundance in our household. The speaker is very robust and compact. I was playing music through it the other day when my son said "that is very loud". For its size it is very loud. Battery usage - I have not had it on the go for the full 5 recommended hours of usage that it can supposedly give but in stints and bursts of 20 - 30 minutes and when checking with the app, each time there was 10% battery depletion. I really do like the idea of the integrated lights but feel they would have been better RGB as opposed to solid white and they don't align to the music being played, at this price point though it is not a deal breaker. I am a bit concerned about placing the speaker in water due to the USB-C charging point not being covered. I am sure it would be fine but that just plays on my mind. Overall not a bad little speaker to take out and about. Would I buy it again, at this price point yes.

Shocked that this didn't come with a charger. Disappointed.

I've had this speaker for a couple of weeks now, and it's already been on a couple of trips with me. It's proved to be a useful and reliable small portable speaker with great battery life. It also feels very rugged - I have no worries throwing it into the bottom of my bag. Two things that let the speaker down for me: The sound quality isn't wonderful. I appreciate that it's a small speaker, but I've had others of a similar size that pack more of a punch in bass response than this Go5. I also don't like the lights that flash to the music - the only way to turn this off is via the JBL app. Overall, it's a fine little speaker for the price, but always room for improvement.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and I’ve been blown away at how powerful this little speaker is. Punchy, and crystal clear. 100% I’m buying a second one so I can pair it with my one.

5⭐️ this speaker has amazing durability! It was forgotten outside in the yard for 2 weeks , there were heavy storms throughout those days and the speaker was out in the open exposed and wasn’t damaged at all and still turned on once we found it. Everything works properly and still charges. 100% great product.

Great little speaker! Easy to pair out of the box with really straightforward instructions. Basic functions, does everything you need it to. Lasted a good 7 hours at a descent volume and was quick to charge. Even when the volume is high the sound quality is still good, especially considering it's price! We have taken this out and about and because of its size it's really easy to pop in a bag. Never had any issue with it's durability and even worked after being caught in the rain! Definitely recommend.

This JBL Go 5 is a great all round speaker for any day conditions. It’s has great great battery I’ve been using it for a couple of days on one charge from the beginning when I got it and the battery still has not run out. It’s great to carry around it’s so small that it can fit in your pocket but also has a hoop which can be used as a small handle or as a hoop for a clip such as a carabiner clip. I’ve had this speaker with me outside whilst it was raining one time and it held up perfectly it was unphased by the water so I can say that the waterproofing is great. For such a small speaker its clarity is great and there are basically no issues with it. However, the higher you turn up the volume the worse the sound quality gets which is this speaker’s only let down. Lastly, I’ve had no problems with the connectivity of the speaker whether it was in the rain or at home it has been working perfectly for the time I have had it besides the volume issue.

We absolutely loved taking our little JBL Go 5 with us on our beach holiday in Mallorca! My 15-year-old daughter especially loved it — although, as expected, she was definitely in charge of the playlist! 😂 It’s such a handy little speaker to have on holiday. The sound is really impressive for something so small, and it was perfect for the beach, by the pool and even just having some music on while we were getting ready. The Bluetooth connection was really easy too, so my daughter could connect her phone quickly without any fuss. It’s small enough to pop into a beach bag or handbag, so it never felt like something extra we were carrying around. It honestly added such a lovely atmosphere to our holiday, and I can see us taking it everywhere with us now. 💕 Also easy to clean after all the sand and water so definitely a holiday must.

Genuinely impressed with this little powerhouse! I’ve been using the JBL Go 5 for family beach days, BBQs, and garden DIY for a few weeks now. For a speaker that fits in the palm of your hand, the 4.8W sound is remarkably full with punchy bass and clear vocals. Perfect for music and podcasts. It's even loud enough to hear over the lawnmower! The IP68 waterproof and drop-proof design makes it completely kid-proof and perfect for unpredictable British weather. Toss it in a backpack, take it camping, and don't worry about it breaking. With a solid 8-hour battery life, it easily lasts a full afternoon out. Highly recommended!

Excellent little speaker. Surprisingly clear and powerful sound for such a compact size. It’s easy to carry, feels well made and the waterproof design makes it ideal for travelling and the outdoors. The battery life is great and USB-C charging makes it really convenient.

Jbl is the absolute best at all. Even in a small speake has a really strong and powerful sound. The battery last long enough with one charge and connect very easy to a phone. It fall down a few times but has no any damage happened at all.

The JBL Go 5 is a great small speaker. It’s like a beast for its size! It’s got amazing battery life, and it’s quite powerful for such a small thing. I really like how easy it is to take with you anywhere. It’s even good to take with you into the shower, and honestly, it’s perfect for pretty much anywhere you go. Since I started using it, I’ve been taking it with me all the time, whether I’m going out or just doing things around the house. It’s small, powerful, portable, and reliable. Yeah, that’s it — I really love it.

In my opinion with this product JBL have outdone themselves. As a standalone speaker the design is chunky and robuust. it's compact, light, easy to travel with and can withstand a little knock and the weather elements, as it can withstand rain.Battery life is good for what I use it for. What makes this product special is when you have more then one. We used two on a caravan trip and it was awesome. One inside, one outside. Music travels so well and they are 100% synced with each other. You forget that you have two seperate boxes connected and listening to them because the sound is so awesome. so you don't hear difference when you move from inside to outside. I would highly recommend this when you buy at least two or have friends/family with the same one to experience that grouped sound
