IMUSA 14" Coated Wok with Bakelite Handle: Preseasoned, Stay-Cool Handles, Nonstick Carbon Steel, Includes Spatula

First of all, it was easy to handle on both stoves but it was amazingly easy to use on my gas stove. The non stick coating was easy to work with. If anything I would change would be to make it lighter. But overall, it was great; love the height of it as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very large wok. When I first looked at it, I thought maybe it's too large for my needs but boy was I wrong. I make stir fry meals usually once a week and generally use a large heavy flat bottom frying pan. It gets the job done but not great. After washing and drying the wok, I added some oil and heated up on low to medium heat. I added two pounds of butter up chicken to brown. The meat moved around the wok so easily and smoothly. I then added my fresh leafy greens like bok choy. This is usually where stuff starts falling out of the pan but with wok, everything remained inside. This tool made the cooking process so much easier. It is too wide for a cover and while stir fried food should be immediately plated, I used a piece of foil to cover the food which worked fine. So far this was amazing. It heated evenly, was non stick and the dual handles made moving it easy. One downside is that after cooking, I noticed so discoloration at the bottom. I had used a silicone spatula only so not sure why. I washed the pan once cool and the discolor remained. That is somewhat disappointing. It still works fine but removing a star for that.

So in case you don't know this about Wok's which I didn't at first, they have some weight to them. This one comes in around 3lbs. One thing I really liked was the thick long handle that made handling easy. It really does come in around 14" at the top, but the important part is the base which is 7". This is important in case you decide to pair it with a portable induction cooktop so you get enough coverage, also the bottom is magnetic so it will work with those. Overall it cooked really well with some beef cuts, spacious so you can cook a lot. Great if you have a big family to cook for.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i received the product and put it to use right away. it is a very sturdy product and worked great. i made chicken fajitas which i usually make with either a cast iron or a regular skillet. well this wok worked great and in the future i will be using the wok in lieu of other pans. the wok took well to the high heat i used. the vegetables and the chicken were seared to perfection. i cant wait to continue using the wok.

I used it to make beef teriyaki, and it got hot enough to give the strip steak a nice sear while still keeping food from sticking. The nonstick surface performed very well, and cleanup was easy. The size is also excellent. It is large enough to comfortably make a family meal with plenty of room to move ingredients around, but it does not feel overly large or difficult to handle. There was a small area along the top edge where some of the coating had chipped, but it did not affect the wok's performance or usability at all. Based on the location, it seemed more like something that happened during shipping rather than an issue with the wok itself. Overall, this is a very useful wok that heats well, has a nice amount of cooking space, and worked great for the meal I prepared. I would not hesitate recommending this to a friend or family member. I'm very happy to have picked this up.

I used it for a big stir-fry of zucchini noodles, mushrooms, peppers and onions, beef strips, and shrimp. Everything cooked evenly, and the depth of the pan helped me to keep stirring without too much fear of overflowing. The secondary handle and the large, flat bottom were big helps, too. I would definitely recommend this wok.

The sturdy construction offers a secure grip during tosses and stays cool throughout my cooking. Despite the thin metal cooking surface, the pan has a robust build and doesn't feel flimsy; in fact, the lighter weight makes it incredibly easy to manage. Beyond its excellent construction, the cooking performance is outstanding. I haven't had any issues with food sticking or burning onto the pan. I do, however, make sure not to use metal utensils that might scratch the cooking surface. This wok is also highly versatile and can be used far beyond simple stir-fry recipes! I've made fried chicken, enchiladas, and potato hashes, all of which have come out extra crispy from being able to toss them easily while they cook. Overall, this wok has been a solid addition to my set of cookware and I'm excited to try keep trying out new recipes with it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently cooked fried rice on this wok and it was so fast and easy, the dept and size make it very easy to cook and mix and the veggies along with the rice. The. Separating the rice to cook and whisk the eggs was also very easy because of the size and shape, the eggs did not stick at all and everything came together perfectly. The wok heats up evenly rather fast which was nice.
