Contain unwanted odors in your home with this Odor Block Trash Can. Its large capacity makes it a great large kitchen trash can—you can throw food scraps away without worrying about the smell! You won't have to remove the bag early because of any odors, which saves you trash bags and reduces trips to take the trash out. Keep your home smelling fresh with this trash can. Hefty Odor Control lid is not designed to be “air-tight”, it is designed to control odors from escaping the wastebasket. The TPE on the underside of the lid seals on the ring that sits on the base to keep odors from coming out of the trash. Available in Graphite.

  • A: Well I checked this website for a replacement lid… yeah they sell it BUT after shipping costs, buying a replacement lid will cost approx. $16. You can buy a whole new garbage can with a new lid for $21…. Just felt like sharing ;-)

    Not our Favorite -

    Item I received is not solid black like shown, it's more like a dark grey steel color. Lid is a bit tricky for a busy mom who is trying to teach her littles to clean up. They got frusterated with it and give up on trying to open it. ( Purchased this for our outdoor patio area ) That is why I am giving it the 2 stars. We all Prefer the step on OPEN version. I have only used it for a day and already the lid has popped off while we attempt to open it then you have to place it back on while you put the trash down elsewhere because you need both hands to put it on. I may return it before my time is up as it's more work than help today :(

    Does it work? Yeah, but not very well. It keeps slapping the wall when I open it and the top doesn’t seal in the back anymore. It’s now falling off. I’m also not sure of the size of the bin. It feels smaller than my last 13-gallon plastic bin.

    Lock breaks, replace unit every 3-6 months

    I should not have to replace the whole can every 3-6 months because of the stupid locking mechanism breaking!! This is our 3rd or 4th one in 2 years because the grey piece breaks and then the lid won’t stay down. Such a freaking waste! I’m done with this trash can.
