I most certainly never expected to see a prop 65 warning on an organic food item! This was a pretty big shock and so I did some digging and found that seaweed in general is just a bad idea all around. Being in need of iodine, don't eat table salt, I thought this would be a great choice. Instead I've learned it's a terrible choice, organic or not. The synthetic supplements are so much safer, but I ultimately chose to go with wild caught sardines, real sardines and not sprats, in organic olive oil twice a week to meet my needs. Once you start doing the research you find just how toxic so much of our food is. Like where are the PSAs on this stuff?!
