I like how it wasn’t hard to assemble. Especially the drawer. This drawer is surprisingly smooth and spacious

1000x worse quality than ikea… extremely fragile and immediately started falling apart.

It’s a good size, it fit perfectly, and it has such a nice, simple design. For my personal use, I planned on using it as a simple writing table. Unfortunately, after following the directions and instructions for assembling it, the table became very flimsy. The directions themselves were confusing, but we managed to put it together. In the end, though, it doesn’t have enough support for the legs to stand securely. The backboard is also extremely flimsy, which causes one of the legs to have more support than the other, making the table feel uneven and unstable. Also, it’s quite small for the price of $50. Overall, I really wanted to like this table, but the lack of stability and support makes it difficult to recommend.

I was so excited to get this deal and knew instantly I would use it as a small vanity for my room! Once built it’s very nice, simple and sturdy enough. The building directions are lacking a bit which is why I took 1 star off. Overall I really like the simplicity of it and it fits perfect in my room!

Bought this for my daughter's room and it's been perfect. The size is exactly what she needed — fits neatly against the wall without taking over the whole room, but there's still enough surface area for her laptop, a lamp, and her books. One tip: make sure to tighten all the fasteners during assembly. I went back and double-checked every screw and bolt after the initial build, and it really made a difference — the desk feels solid and doesn't wobble at all. I'd absolutely recommend this for college students, teens, and tweens. For the price, you really can't beat it!

Super easy to assemble and looks great. Everyone saying it's not sturdy doesn't know how to assemble. It's very sturdy when assembled properly.

My teen son wanted a space to keep his cologne and hygiene products together and this desk was just perfect for his room. Has a nice wide drawer and is sturdy. could easily be used as a desk or even a vanity. Thank you Room Essentials and Target! 🎯

The Room Essentials White Compact Desk is perfect for my homeschooler! It doesn't take up much space, the instructions were easy to follow, and it was simple to put together. It's sturdy, the drawers are roomy enough for a pencil box and notebooks, and there's plenty of space for a laptop. The height is perfect, making it a great desk for schoolwork. The value for the price was perfect!

This Room Essentials Compact Desk was very easy to assemble with just a Phillips screwdriver. The desk is a very nice quality for the price. It has a good weight, solid but still easy to move around by yourself (no assistance needed). The drawer is a nice addition and it opens & closes nicely. This fits perfectly in a small space, all of my kids wanted it.

I was hesitant to purchase base on the reviews but happy I did I was ready to return or use liquid nails for reinforcements. The instructions are easy to follow I fit it up in less than a hour and it’s actually very sturdy. I turned it into vanity table and it saved me money instead of spending over $100.

I would not recommend it just falls apart not stable at all

I followed the instructions step by step and it doesn’t even stay together nothing helps it stay together. I absolutely would not recommend I truly don’t understand how anyone has gotten it to stay sturdy and not fall apart

It’s really nice and sturdy I’m really surprised.

It’s nice to have a decent sized desk at an affordable rate. But you get what you pay for completely. You can assemble the desk, but it does NOT stay together easily. It’s actually hilarious too bc there’s a thousand “hidden camera” screws that have no real function, but not a SINGLE screw that actually helps keep the desk together without having to consistently push the wood back together again after the slightest jostle. The desk drawer doesn’t even stay together when you pull it. You have to reach back and push the drawer out if you want to open it without tearing the drawer piece off. With a good super glue and/or if you screwed in the right places, it would stay together. But you have to figure that out on your own because the instructions mostly have you using wooden dowels and connector screws. The design isn’t the worst, but the team completely dropped the ball with installing holes and providing screws in spots that actually keep the desk in tact. I also don’t know why a person would need so many hidden cameras in a desk but to each their own. I actually purchased a desk a few years ago for $25 that stayed together better than this. But overall, if you are in a pinch and/ or what ever situation you may be in, this desk can be functional but I HIGHLY recommend having your own super glue or a screwdriver to make holes because it will not hold up sturdy without it.

I got this for my bathroom as a vanity and it was the perfect size pretty easy to build maybe took me about an hour but for the price this thing is really sturdy! Great for small bedrooms or even a dorm definitely worth it!
