  • A: All this gum and you call it improving? Breyers was my one favorite until this gum thickning and other gums come along. Pure ice cream real is like Ben&Jerry, Tillamook and other small like Jennie's.

  • A: Please don't infer on your front label that it's a natural ice cream when you add Tara gum as a thickener. Guar gum, Tara gum, carrageenan, etc. don't belong in quality 'natural' ice cream.

Q: Ditto to JLO above. Why is vanilla not listed in the ingredients, even though your product video says it's in the recipe?? 'Natural flavor' does not count as real vanilla. Please explain.

    Vanilla and cream goodnes!

    This is my go to ice cream! I love the texture and taste. You can taste the real vanilla and smooth sweet cream. Vanilla is the ultimate flavor and although all Breyer flavors I have tried are delicious this is my favorite

    New ingredients that arent so natural

    WHen I first started buying this product 1-2 years ago, all the ingredients were natural. I began to buy the product out of habit because I trusted the ingredients didn't change. Now, upon reading them, there are new ingredients that aren't so natural. I feel deceived. Something to note is that just about every time I bought this product, there was melted ice cream under the plastic wrap obscuring the ingredients. I just trusted they were the same as the 1st time I purchased this product. I'm not buying it anymore.

    WHAT Happened to Natural Vanilla!’

    What happened to Natural Vanilla? It tastes exactly like alcohol is in the ice cream! This is the only ice cream I ever bought because it seemed to be the most natural on the market. I asked AI how ice cream can possibly taste like alcohol and turns out it is caused by synthetic vanilla. If you can’t make a profit using natural vanilla, maybe discontinue your ‘Natural Vanilla’ because who is going to buy this again after tasting it? And why hurt the Brand with such obviously misleading marketing? I’ve wasted hard earned money on something that now has to be thrown out. So disappointed!!

    Magnum trashed Breyers. Doesn't even list vanilla on the label anymore. No longer good. Also, that are illegally dismantling the Ben and Jerry's foundation. I will purchase nothing from this company until they free Ben and Jerry.

    Smaller vs a few years ago & pumped full of air

    Too soft and too full of air. Can't make a decent milkshake with it anymore, as it melts into nothing. Incorporating air is worse than merely another way to perform shrinkflation (which has also been done by a full pint) as the air also trashes the product quality. I suppose the gum was added to try to get it to hold together with all the air in it? Natural ice cream isn't made like a meringue. Lies lies and more lies. At least there's no corn syrup, and yet, I recall that I don't really need ice cream so often as I used to like to buy it.

    Not great tasting anymore

    When they make it like the original Breyers again, milk, cream, sugar and VANILLA BEAN I will buy it again. I grew up with the REAL Breyers ice cream and remember how it scooped from the 1/2 gallon (Now 1.5 qt) and how it would stick to my tongue. I don’t buy Breyers again until they come out with the original ice cream recipe. I would even pay more Turkey Hill comes closer to the natural ice cream with their premium brand with cream, sugar , milk and vanilla bean.

    Why did you change your recipe?! For all your homepage talk of using the best ingredients you took a perfect product and ruined it by putting gum in it! It DOES NOT TASTE THE SAME. This has been our family’s go-to for years, but no more. Such a shame!

    Not the Same Breyer's Anymore

    I haven't eaten this so called Natural ice cream ever since Unilever bought out the company. It doesn't have the same natural vanilla taste, creaminess, texture or consistency. I immediately switched to T.H. brand ice cream and that is no longer available in my area. The gum was added, the vanilla was not the flavor I was used to, and you downplay that aspect in your ads. I do not eat store bought ice cream anymore, because I have a sensitivity to many additives, so I make my own, but it's labor intensive and not like your original Breyer's recipe. " If it ain't broke, don't fix it". The market was there and for Unilever to change it, says a lot about the motive. The customer loses again for the sake of profit.

    Your All Natural is a Bunch of Balony

    You say that you use only natural ingredients. So, why are you using Guar Gum, which was never used in your ice cream products when you began touting your “All Natural Ingredients” motto. And if you tell me that Guar Gum’s inclusion is necessary to soften up the ice cream, then it is no longer ice cream, it is now something unnatural.
