Hello TrueBlue, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the Blink Battery Doorbell 2K+. We sincerely apologize for the frustration you've been dealing with — we understand how disappointing it is when a product doesn't perform as expected, especially after receiving a replacement unit with the same issues. We're sorry to hear about the slow loading times, the microphone not working for two-way communication, and the recording only capturing your own arrivals rather than other activity. These are not the experiences we want our customers to have, and your feedback is valuable in helping us improve. We'd like to connect you with our senior support team to take a deeper look into what may be causing these persistent issues. Please reach out to us at 1-888-280-4331 or through the Blink app so we can further assist you. In the meantime, here are a few things that may help: Ensure your doorbell is within a strong Wi-Fi range, as slow loading and delayed notifications are often related to signal strength. Consider moving your Sync Module closer to the doorbell or your router. Check that your Blink app is updated to the latest version, as updates often include performance and audio improvements. Verify that microphone and notification permissions are enabled for the Blink app in your phone's settings. We appreciate your patience and want to make this right for you. Please don't hesitate to reach out — we're here to help.

Furious customer w/ no merchandise
I am furious! I opened the box this morning because I did a drive up pickup last night. Only to NOT find the merchandise I paid for! Instead it has the security tags and Apple iPods box in it! I want my merchandise I paid for or my money back in FULL!

Regret the Upgrade
Upgraded from the HD version and have regretted it in every way. Have contacted Blink twice, chat and phone call, to try to solve my connectivity issues to no avail. My Deco router is 20 feet away in direct line of sight of the sync module, sync module is 5 feet away in direct line of sight to the camera with only a window in between, and there is 0 way to connect to the camera via the Blink app for more than a day or 2 since I installed it. Fully changed my router location to better improve the connectivity and nothing. Old HD version connected perfectly through a closet, a kitchen, and a metal door. Have regretted giving it away and upgrading. I might just ask for it back since the only solution seems to be purchasing the XR sync module to see if my issues fixed but the XR costs more than the doorbell camera so what's the point. Will admit, the brief moment when the upgraded version seemed to work was the first time I ever had View access via the Alexa app, it never worked on the HD version. Issues all around though

Hi Fernando, Thank you for sharing your experience, and we're sorry to hear the upgrade from your HD version hasn't gone smoothly. We understand how frustrating it must be — especially when your previous doorbell worked reliably through multiple walls and a metal door. The connectivity issues you're describing with the Sync Module Core, even at close range with clear line of sight, are not typical and suggest something we can help troubleshoot further. A few things worth checking: Wi-Fi band settings — The Blink Battery Doorbell 2K+ connects via 2.4 GHz only. Deco mesh routers sometimes steer devices to 5 GHz. Try creating a dedicated 2.4 GHz SSID or disabling band steering temporarily to see if that stabilizes the connection. Sync Module placement — While 5 feet with line of sight sounds ideal, having the Sync Module on the opposite side of a window can sometimes cause signal reflection. Try moving it to the same side as the doorbell if possible, or even a few feet further back from the window. Sync Module firmware — In the Blink app, check under the Sync Module settings to confirm it's running the latest firmware. A pending update can sometimes cause intermittent drops. Channel congestion — With a Deco mesh system, neighboring networks may be competing on the same channel. Logging into your Deco app and switching to a less congested 2.4 GHz channel (1, 6, or 11) may help. You shouldn't need to purchase an XR Sync Module to get basic reliable connectivity — the Sync Module Core should handle this setup. If the steps above don't resolve things, we'd encourage you to reach out to Blink support again at 1-888-280-4331 and specifically request a Tier 2 escalation, since you've already been through two rounds of troubleshooting. They can run deeper diagnostics on your Sync Module and doorbell pairing. We appreciate you giving the upgrade a try, and we want to make sure it works the way it should. Thank you for the feedback — it helps us improve.

I love it has a good angle
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was an easy setup, I really like it comes with a wall mounting kit which is helpful. I think is a good quality and good option for you to start using cameras. If you need a source with good reliability for your entrance I would recommend it. The sensor and processor are a little bit slow but I think it works as a camera of 2K. I like it. The performance quality of the video is good.

Stay away
It uses 3 AA batteries and the picture lags, the features with Alexa don’t work and the system bogs down. Do yourself a favor and stay away. Go get a Tapo d205 instead. Way better of a system.

Hello Cameron. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on the Blink Battery Doorbell 2K+. I'm sorry to hear the experience has not met your expectations, and I understand how frustrating connectivity and performance issues can be. Regarding the video lag you're experiencing, this is most commonly related to upload speed on your Wi-Fi network. The Blink Battery Doorbell 2K+ streams in 2K resolution (1920x1920), which requires a minimum upload speed of approximately 6 Mbps for smooth, lag-free performance. If your upload speed is below this threshold, you may notice buffering, choppy playback, or delayed clips. To check this, run a speed test near where your doorbell is installed and confirm your upload speed meets this requirement. If it's low, try moving your Sync Module or router closer to the doorbell, or contact your internet service provider about upgrading your plan. For the Alexa integration issues, here are some steps that can help resolve most connectivity problems between the doorbell and Alexa: Ensure your Blink app is updated to the latest version on your mobile device. Confirm the doorbell's firmware is up to date — open the Blink app, tap the doorbell, then the gear icon to check for available updates. Verify that the doorbell is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, as the device does not support 5 GHz connections. In the Alexa app, disable and re-enable the Blink Smart Home skill, then rediscover your devices. Power cycle the Sync Module by unplugging it for 30 seconds, then plugging it back in. Remove and reinsert the 3 AA lithium batteries in the doorbell, then allow it to reconnect. The Blink Battery Doorbell 2K+ is designed to work seamlessly with Alexa for features like live view on Echo Show devices, two-way audio, and motion announcements. These features do require a stable Wi-Fi connection and properly linked accounts between the Blink and Alexa apps. If these steps do not resolve the issues you're experiencing, Amazon Customer Service is available 24/7 for further hands-on troubleshooting assistance. You can reach them at 1-888-280-4331. Thank you for your feedback — we take it seriously and want to ensure you have the best possible experience with your device.

Easy to Assemble Smart Home Addition
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been loving this doorbell and the notifications it provides. I feel more secure knowing what is going on around my house. I will say that auto record length of 10 seconds is not enough time. I change it to 20 which may affect battery life but i have no issues so far.

Great product, easy enough set up.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that there was a support number that I could call to help me set this up. It was AI but still very helpful. It did take a while and there is a little bit of complications in setting up a second account person but I’m sure we will figure that out otherwise great quality of the video and the product is lightweight and easy to use. It was easy enough to set up, but it did take time and I could see why people could get frustrated. esp older people

Better quality clips
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice upgrade from the previous version; just as easy to install and quality in clips is noticeable. Alerts are okay, nothing special as I don’t utilize the AI features. I am utilizing it with my blink system and I already owned a sync module that allows for clips to be saved on the usb device; the sync module included with this only allows for cloud storage, which requires a subscription (which I don’t want). Found flaw, be aware: there is a small paper clip like removal tool to remove the camera to replace batteries (now takes 3 AA lithium batteries as to 2 of the previous models), but I found that I could just remove the camera without anything but my fingernail, this is a bit worrisome that it can be removed so easily.

Works great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am using the Blink battery doorbell camera product in an unconventional way at the moment. We have a new puppy in the home and I wanted a way to be able to keep an eye on him in his crate. We have other indoor Blink cameras that I would have otherwise used but they are wired and I do not have an accessible outlet to plug the camera into in this area. As it turns out, the Blink wireless doorbell is cheaper than the Blink wireless cameras so despite not using the doorbell feature, it was the cheaper option.

Great features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the opportunity to try the Blink Battery Doorbell for the first time, and although the setup was a little frustrating, I was really happy with the final result. My husband and I followed the instructions carefully, but it still took us about an hour to connect the Sync Module to our Wi-Fi and finally gain access to the front door camera. The first thing that impressed me was the video quality. The image is clear and sharp, making it easy to see everything from packages left right in front of my door to objects farther away. I also love the wide field of view because it gives me a great look at the entire front entrance. Through the app, I can turn motion notifications on or off, receive alerts whenever someone is at my door, and even speak to visitors using the built-in microphone. Since it runs on three batteries, I don't have to worry about charging it regularly, although I will need to replace the batteries when they run out. Overall, I recommend it. Just be prepared to spend a little extra time during the initial setup and follow the instructions carefully. Once everything is connected, it works really well and offers great features for keeping an eye on your front door.

Good video quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The blink battery doorbell 2K+ is a very nice doorbell camera. The quality is great- I use this in my farmstand and it really helps if my customers need me they can ring the doorbell and it can record any theft. The battery life so far has been good. I do wish you didn’t need to purchase a separate chime box to have the doorbell sound in your house. As far as the subscription to keep recordings, that’s a huge negative for me. There are other brands with great cameras that offer that for free. Overall, the video quality has been good. Sometimes it lags, but it works for what I need it for.

Perfect outdoor addition
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Blink battery doorbell is just what we need for our back door as a doorbell but as a security measure as well. I like that it just takes a battery but we will have to change the battery of course. I really don’t want any of our exterior doors without a video doorbell now that we have experienced how wonderful they are
