Unexpected but Wonderful
I grew up eating Japanese sticky rice, so my standards are pretty high! Even though this is a Korean brand, it’s absolutely great. My family used to keep a rice cooker going 24/7, but now that I’m older and eating more veggies, I rarely need a full pot unless the kiddos want rice too. When I’m having kimchi I need me some white rice and this is the ultimate shortcut if I don't have rice made already. No waiting 40 minutes for a rice cooker...plus it’s so handy to stash at work! Don't forget to mix and fluff your rice after it's been warmed up.

Disgusting smell and flavor
This was absolutely disgusting. I bought it to make a rice bowl and intended to eat it cold. Tried a little and was just like blech. Horrible. So I heated it up on a ceramic plate in the microwave. It was steaming hot and had a better texture, but the smell filled up my whole kitchen. It is not a good smell. The taste was no better. I didn't steam it inside the plastic it came in as instructed, so that definitely wasn't the cause of the smell/taste. Maybe just being packed in the plastic reached the taste of plastic into it, I don't know. But this was definitely not for me. I won't be a repeat customer, that's for sure.

It’s fine when I’m in a rush, but not something I’d be eating over freshly cooked rice.. The texture is too soggy/overcooked, and the smell is reminiscent of chlorine pool, it could be the preservatives. Either way, I won’t be repurchasing these any time soon…

This is genuinely the best if not one of the best microwaveable rice. Never had minute rice or whatever those are, but I doubt they are any good. As an East Asian, this rice is basically the same as freshly cooked rice from a rice cooker except it's faster.
