    Hate the new recipe

    The new recipe is disgusting. I bought a bunch of boxes that were on sale and couldn't even get through half a bowl. I thought it was just me and tried a different box and it was still disgusting. Then I saw you changed the recipe. WHY?!?! Go back to the old recipe. Never buying again until you do. I've been eating it since 2002. Lost a customer until you get a grip.

    Taste and texture change?

    Something changed with the recipe and it is off from what I remember, from about a year ago. Used to love eating this but something about the texture and taste has changed and not in a good way.

    don't buy anymore

    This WAS my families go to Mac and cheese. Then they sold out and changed ingredients. I hope the sell out was worth it.

    Poor quality

    Tastes terrible now compared to only a few years ago. I am a college student and can no longer depend on Annie’s for a quick tasty meal.

    Used to love, now disgusting

    I used to love Annie’s Mac n cheese, I’ve eaten it maybe once a week since I was 10. However, I recently was eating it and realized it was not good. Thought I was crazy, but looked it up and saw they had changed the recipe to cheaper, artificial ingredients after they sold out. I’ll never buy it again. Disgusting now.

    Disappointed in the greed

    Disgusting. It’s disgusting how you guys changed the recipe. This is pasty and gross and you should all be ashamed of your greed for making a wonderful, inexpensive, delicious Mac and cheese meal into some corporate hi fructose paste with pasta and minimal nutrients. I’m so offended. I ate this literally almost every other night during college from 2008-2012, and the flavor was amazing. I had been wondering what changed for a while and just looked it up and I’m sick to my stomach thinking you quietly changed the recipe so I put garbage ingredients into my body. Stop putting trash in our food. Stop relying on capitalism. Selling more for cheap doesn’t make the product better. You guys have ruined this brand. It doesn’t even stand for what it used to when you put garbage in it.

    Horrific New Recipe 🤮

    This new "cheesier" recipe is the exact opposite. Annie's has always been delicious, creamy, and cheesey. Now it's bland with no cheesey taste and has a gross texture. It should be renamed Mac and Flavored Corn Starch. I've been enjoying this product for decades. Now I need to find a new brand that has some integrity. Now what to do with the remaining 11 boxes (got 12 not realizing they changed the recipe)?

    Sell outs

    I thought our household was going crazy until I saw they changed the recipe. Seems there is a consensus. This easy snack/dinner on lazy days was a god sent. In law school some nights there was no will to cook when you are coming home from work with another 300 pages of reading waiting for you. The answer: Annie’s. However, since changing the recipe after apparently being bought out by “General Mills,” we have stopped all Annie’s purchases and will not be buying again until they listen to their customers. The audacity to change these original recipes is beyond me. It screams sell out. It tastes quite artificial now and is simply not worth it. So beyond disappointed in the changes with this brand. I would give zero stars if possible. RIP Annie’s. She was there for me throughout multiple relationships, packed in my suitcase for international trips, and all of law school. She will be missed.

    Bland and sad

    I am genuinely very upset about this change in recipe. I have been eating this mac and cheese for over 20 years and I have such fond memories of my dad making it for me when I was a kid. Annies always used to cheer me up when it was cold or rainy or when I missed my family. I just ate some tonight and it genuinely tastes like nothing. I never thought eating something could make me feel so sad. It wasn’t salty, tangy, or satisfying and the texture was gooey in a gross way. I will not be purchasing this again unless the original recipe returns. I do not say this out of spite, I just suddenly don't enjoy the taste of one of my favorite foods.

    Bring back the CHEESE PLEASE!!

    The recipe is noticeably blander, more watery, and the sharpness of the white cheddar that first converted me to Annie's is gone. We bought this as it was on sale and now I understand why it was and why the package looks different. I just want the cheese back. I feel like there is much less of it and more filler. The original taste is one I will miss dearly and I will not be buying again.

    Really Disappointed and Let Down

    Made the now cheesier white cheddar last night for dinner. I have been eating this mac and cheese since I was in middle school and am now 40. I always loved the tangy, real cheese flavor and little shells. The new "now cheesier" is less cheesy (actually there really wasn't a cheese flavor at all), completely bland, and goopy. I am so disappointed and let down by Annie's. I won't be buying this anymore. I hope they switch back.

    not so great anymore.

    I was craving Annie's Mac and Cheese today, its a favorite comfort food and I probably only have in a couple times a year. I bought a box and was so excited, and then i noticed that the cheese didn't have any smell, and I couldn't get the right consistency after adding butter and milk. Its just gloopy and tasteless now. Why change something so good?

    Very disappointing recipe changes.

    My kids and I have eaten the Shells & White Cheddar for years and it was a healthier and tastier choice than other quick macaroni brands. But the "cheese" recipe has changed, particularly with the addition of corn starch (and probably other unhealthy things). For that reason I am no longer a loyal customer. The taste and texture is awful now, and my kids have also noticed and commented. Very disappointing.

    Disappointed by new recipe :(

    I used to be a lifelong fan of Annie's, but this new recipe is disappointing. The flavor tastes more artificial and the consistency ends up more goopy. I'm not a fan!
