Love the city advent calendars!
This is a great Lego advent calendar! I do like it better when the advent calendar ties in with the winter village set though. This advent calendar would have been perfect in a year with a North Pole themed winter set. But even though this year’s set is a village theme, not a North Pole set, this is a great advent calendar. The rocking horse is really cute and so is the baby reindeer. The three elves are nice and I think one two are girl elves. Two different printed letter pieces, but I’m not sure Santa should be getting junk mail! Several tiny brick built toys that can be added to Santa’s workshop, the toy store or put under the tree in any set in the village. Every advent calendar seems to include a snowman, a tree and a Santa. The tree in this set is similar to ones in other sets, but they found a new way to decorate it so that is nice! The snow man comes alive as a Minifig this year and that fits well with the North Pole fantasy theme! Then there is the Santa thrupple. You get two Santas and one Mrs Claus. The workshop Santa in the green shirt and suspenders is fantastic! So nice to have a change from the endless nearly identical Santa minifigs! The traditional Santa is a waste of a spot in the calendar and it’s even kind of confusing to have two Santas in the same set. Mrs Clause is the same as in several previous years. Wish she had also come with a new design. But I plan to use the legs from the traditional Santa on Mrs. Claus so she can finally sit down.

Charming additions to our Winter Village
We got this advent calendar to supplement our winter village. It has so many unique items. This years calendar includes a snowman minifig, St.Nic minifig ( in addition to the traditional Santa minifig) a baby reindeer, 3 elves, a dolly with packages, a rocking horse, a winter mailbox with letters and a bird…. just to name a few. I have to say this year’s city advent calendar is definitely worth getting!!!

good value. great figs
cant go wrong with this city set, hardest thing is waiting until december to open it. really good figs this year.. only issue is.. Where is the wrapped rocking horse piece like on the front cover?
