Description

Fango, Italian for "mud." Advanced Fango Active Mud is the original Italian mud mask, crafted by Borghese since 1985. This five-minute mask for face and body detoxifies congested pores, deeply nourishes, and restores smoothness to dull, uneven skin. Mineral-rich bentonite clay draws out excess oil and impurities while avocado oil, adaptogenic botanicals, and ATP (adenosine triphosphate) replenish, so skin stays supple and glowing through detoxification.
What To Expect:Nourished, detoxified, and glowing skin. A light, fresh scent. A creamy texture that spreads evenly.

After a single five-minute application, pores look smaller and cleaner, tone is more even, and skin feels soothed. With twice-weekly use over four weeks, skin is more hydrated and better balanced, with improved resilience due to microbiome support.
Why It Works: The five-minute Fango experience begins with a refreshing cooling sensation and a light tingle as the active ingredients get to work. The formula does not dry, allowing mineral-rich clay to help draw out impurities, excess oil, and debris before barrier stripping can occur. As you rinse, the creamy mud gently exfoliates without drying, leaving skin hydrated, supple, and visibly replenished.
How To Use:
1. Apply a thick even layer to clean skin.
2. Leave it on for only 5 minutes. Do not allow the mud to dry.
3. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
4. Follow with serum and moisturizer.

For a precise, hands-free application, use our Deluxe Mask Applicator:
1. Using the spatula side, apply a ¼” thick layer to clean, dry skin.
2. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
3. Remove mud using the spatula side or a warm washcloth.
4. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

For enhanced results with Active Mask Booster:
Apply one dropper of Borghese Active Mask Booster to clean skin. Allow to absorb briefly before applying an even layer of Advanced Fango Active Mud to the same area.

Irritating

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used a sample of Advanced Fango Active mud and ended up with red, faw-feeling, stinging face. I have been using Fango on and off since the 1990s and have nad no issues with it. This version is not for me. Sadly, I also have an unopened jar of this mud that I won't be using, given my skin's reaction to the sample.

Luxurious Product

I've been using it once a week, and so far I'm liking the results. I have dry skin, so it requires a bit more hydration afterward, but during sweaty summer days, it's a great product for unclogging pores.

It Was Okay, But Not What I Expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this because my favorite pink mud mask is no longer available, and I was looking for a replacement. This one was different from the pink mask I used to use, and unfortunately, I didn't notice any brightening effect. It may work for others, but it didn't meet my expectations.

Love the Advanced Fango Mud!

I turned 60yrs old this year. The Borghese products helped me enjoy my age. I use the Advanced Fango Mud weekly especially in the Winter. My skin is so soft and bright. It glows all week.
